About Rosemary
Rosemary French has spent the past decade driving early-stage biotechnologies closer to market. Her expertise spans the startup, university and grant agency worlds, with particular emphasis on pharmaceutical drug development. Ms. French’s core areas of expertise include strategic planning for life science technology development, IP/licensing, term sheet negotiation and partnership formation.
Ms. French’s current role is Program Manager for Product Development at the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT). CPRIT is a Texas-based grant funding agency initiated in 2007 to issue $3 billion in bonds to fund groundbreaking cancer research. Ms. French manages the pre- and post-award process for CPRIT’s Product Development awards, which are given to startups working on an oncology-centric therapeutic, device or tool. Prior to joining CPRIT, Ms. French has held a variety of roles in the areas of drug development, technology transfer and international business development.
Ms. French holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Biology and Spanish (double major) from UT Austin.
