Speaker for "CPRIT — What Women Need to Know"

In 2007, The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) was established and Texas was authorized to issue $3 billion in bonds to fund groundbreaking cancer research and prevention programs and services in Texas.

Here are some things CPRIT does:

  • Expedites innovation in cancer research and product development
  • Enhances access to evidence-based prevention programs throughout the state
  • Awards grants for a wide variety of cancer-related research and for the delivery of cancer prevention programs and services in Texas
The CPRIT award program will be presented at the Life Science Women’s Conference by Rosemary French, Program Manager for Product Development. CPRIT has funded 29 companies to date. In her presentation, Ms. French will present the grant funding opportunities available at CPRIT for startups focused on the development of cancer-focused therapeutics, diagnostics and tools, and how female CEOs can gain access to funding.
Life Science Women’s Conference presents the opportunity for women to learn about CPRIT funding, and meet 1:1 with CPRIT to get their questions answered about the application process.
