Dr. Verena Kallhoff is CEO of AIMS4HBT providing in depth analytics, insights, management and strategies for health and biotech companies. Her work focuses on companies utilizing AI, blockchain and federated learning to solve some of the big challenges facing healthcare and biomedical research. In addition, Dr. Kallhoff, as a founding member of TEXGHS, works with innovators and collaborators across Texas to build a comprehensive ecosystem that inspires and fosters global health security innovation to build resourceful and resilient communities. She also engages with partners across the Central Texas Health and Life Science Ecosystem fostering collaboration with a particular focus on helping LifeScience graduate students and postdocs explore a variety of career paths through networking.

Dr. Kallhoff also serves as a mentor for TEXVMS, Blackstone launchpad and Founders and Mentors, advising healthcare and life science companies and sits on the board of advisors of four startups. As an integral part of the Dell Medical School Innovation team, Dr. Kallhoff previously led the effort to build an innovation ecosystem that brought in innovators from across Austin to connect with SMEs in areas vital to health innovation, network with each other, find co-founders and other resources. The Texas Health CoLab Learning series quickly became a staple in the health innovation ecosystem and other events served to provide broad startup education or highlight the ATX health innovation ecosystem.

Dr. Kallhoff previously also served as Managing Director of the Machine Learning Lab and the Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin. She oversaw the scientific and programmatic operations, built nationwide collaborations for AI High School education, facilitated communications and collaborations between the partners, and managed internal calls for seed funding projects
