Stefanie Marquez-Vilendrer started working as a Lab Scientist in Product Development at Axogen in 2015 and more recently as an R&D Scientist within the Preclinical and Analytical Team in 2019. At Axogen, Dr. Marquez-Vilendrer leads the R&D tissue processing core, facilitates lab activities, and serves on the safety committee. Prior to this, Dr. Marquez-Vilendrer was a Scientist at Zenagene, Inc, a local start-up at the UF Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she focused on molecular oncology research to determine the role of the SWI/SNF complex in lung, breast, and head and neck cancers. She earned a BA in History and Biological Sciences in 2004, an MS in Experimental and Molecular Pathology in 2007, and a PhD in Pathobiology in 2011 all from the University of Southern California.
