Wife and Husband team, Andrea (Andie) S. Kramer and Alton (Al) Harris will participate as guest speakers at the Life Science Women’s Conference, held on February 19-20, 2020 at the Tampa Bay Convention Center.
Both speakers have worked extensively as authorities in workplace gender bias. Ms. Kramer has worked over 30 years to remove discriminatory barriers to women’s careers. She has helped thousands of women navigate through gender-based obstacles and is a nationally recognized authority on gender discrimination.
Among her many professional achievements, she was named one of the “50 Most Influential Women Lawyers In America”, “Women with a Vision” awarded by the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois and was named the “2014 Gender Diversity Private Practice Lawyer of The Year” by Chambers USA.
Alton Harris, a distinguished attorney, is one of a few men publicly speaking about the discriminatory consequences of gender bias in the workplace. Al has written over 150 articles and blog posts on gender, diversity and combating biases.
Al speaks, conducts workshops, and mentors women across the country. Al speaks to women about what male colleagues expect from future leaders, to men about what they need to do to become effective allies in the effort to achieve true gender diversity, and to organizations about the practices and policies they need to adopt.
Al and Andie will be presenting “Gender Bias: It’s Not You, It’s the Workplace”, which is also the topic of their new book, which is being released August 2019.
