Speaker: "Policies that have a High Impact on Women"

Why does the same policy have an adverse impact on women but not men? When a woman wears shorts for casual day, why is it viewed differently than when a man walks in with shorts and flip flops? It is not fair that one can be viewed as “sloppy” and the other “creative”.

In this session, we will explore various company policies and practices and discuss some of the real life issues that women face daily.

* When you work from home, what are the pitfalls for your career?

* Why do men apply for jobs, with only have half the qualifications, but not women?

* How should you negotiate for that starting salary and promotional increase?

Awareness is important for all of us as we make decisions about our careers. Small choices about how day to day business choices can have substantial consequence on your career and your earnings. This session will provide insight and practical tips about the choices we make.
